This program is the Utah D.U.I. Educational Program, Prime For Life.  This program is 16 hours and is offered by Instructors certified by the Prevention Research Institute, a non-profit organization based in Lexington, Kentucky, articulated the Lifestyle Risk Reduction Model in 1983. Prevention Research Institute identified five conditions that must be established within and around an individual to effectively reduce risk, whether it is reducing risk for alcohol problems, heart disease, or cancer. As part of training, instructors learn these conditions and other elements of the Lifestyle Risk Reduction Model, and their specific application to all information and activities in the PRIME For Life program.  www.askpri.org
